CAE Modeling of Hot Stamping Tool Wear
نویسندگان
چکیده
To assess the wear of hot stamping tool, a model punch deformation under influence thermal and mechanical loads was developed. The shape relative position die were designed to localize maximum contact at predetermined location. It assumed that is caused by removal surface metal layer, due decreasing its strength during plastic deformation. Simulation performed finite element method in Deform software package. A temperature field pattern zone calculated. With respect typical for forging railway wheels, comparison showed numerical experiment same level as actual value wear.

A review on hot stamping
The production of high strength steel components with desired properties by hot stamping (also called press hardening) requires a profound knowledge and control of the forming procedures. In this way, the final part properties become predictable and adjustable on the basis of the different process parameters and their interaction. In addition to parameters of conventional cold forming, thermal ...
متن کاملOnline Tool Wear Monitoring Tool Wear Monitoring Using Acoustic Emission
This research work highlights the effects of acoustic emission (AE) signals emitted during the milling of H13 tool steel as an important parameter in the identification of tool wear. These generated AE signals provide information on the chip formation, wear, fracture and general deformation. Furthermore, it is aimed at implementing an online monitoring system for machine tools, using a sensor f...
متن کاملCoupled numerical simulation of hot stamping process and experimental verification
Hot stamping process is a high non-linear process showing the effect on thermal, mechanical and metallurgical phenomena as they relate to each other. In order to carry out this coupled numerical simulation, fundamental thermal properties such as interfacial heat transfer coefficient and convection heat transfer coefficient as well as crucial mechanics properties were first investigated. Hot sta...
